Hello and welcome back to the podcast. It's Annabel Mattson here. This is a special episode today because I'm sharing a little excerpt from a recent coaching call from elevate my mastermind program that kicked off just a couple of weeks ago. So this is a response to a question from one of the beautiful clients who's in this program.

I'm sharing this response to the question. With the permission

The question was related to This particular person feeling as though they were consuming a lot of information or feeling like they needed to be constantly tapped into more information, more podcasts, more masterclasses, webinars, signing up to more things. And they were finding that that was she's starting to overwhelm them. And then also my response to this question really speaks to the person who is perhaps recognizes that pattern, but also is wanting to connect more clearly with their intuition, as in there are some questions that are showing up in their life that they want answered. They want to know what's next for me. Where do I go? What's the next step for me to take to access our intuition? We need to dramatically decrease our inputs. So often we have so many inputs coming in, all sorts of content that we just connected with so much stuff these days that it's really difficult to be able to actually access our own intuition about what's right for us and what isn't. So tune into this episode and I'd love to hear your thoughts about it. And what's so interesting is. On the surface, it all looks, it looks really positive because it's bright and sparkly. It's not like you, you're like going to the pub every night and drinking a bowl of wine or like, eating junk food every night and like blabbing out to Netflix, you know, on the surface, it looks really positive because it's things that are good for your body, good for your mind, good for your health. But as you said, there's a manic energy that sits around it for you. And that's when we know like, Oh, there's a, there's a nervous system response here. And I think when we look under the hood around that, it's it can be two things come to mind around this is feeling like I need more, like there's, there's another, there's another golden ticket. There's something else. I need to know that this is enough. I need to find this. There's something more, more, more. So there's that. And also it's a way we often like what I would call outsource our self trust to, so I was actually speaking to another client about this the other day, and this is the advice that I would offer you if you're in this space is, and even for everybody, you know, over the next few months is like decreasing the amount of inputs that are coming in. We are exposed to just enormous amounts of content. And also when we're in the space where we, we have this desire for growth, we can be listening to all the podcasts, reading all the blogs, you know, signing up for all the masterclasses, buying that other digital course, you know, there can be so many inputs coming in, but it's almost what we do is we. We overload ourselves with the inputs and then we're not actually embodying and integrating anything because we're swimming around and so much content. So it's almost a way that we avoid going deeper with the work because we just take on more and more. And we just kind of skim on the surface level with it. And it's also a way that we. Outsource our self trust like, Oh, there must be an answer somewhere in this podcast for me, or that this question or this uneasiness that I feel about something in my life, there must be an answer on this blog. Or if I just sign up to this one more thing, there'll be something in there for me. So if there's any of that happening and a manic panicky energy often suggests that my invitation to you would be to dramatically. Decrease the inputs that are coming in really looking at, okay, maybe your only focus is what we're doing here inside this course. And you make that your only focus. And then what that does is it creates space. And in that space, we. Can connect with our body. We can connect with our intuition and we start to that, that voice within us now has the space to start to speak to us about what we need, about where we're hitting, about what's ahead, the guide, our own guidance can come in his space to speak to us. Because we're not overloaded with all of this content coming in. So it's almost like, it's like the, the, the, one of the most important pieces to get, I think, especially when we're in a space where we're wondering what's next for me, or we're seeking some kind of clarity in our life the mind wants to go out and get a whole lot of information to try and solve that discomfort or uncertainty, but it's, that's actually not going to help. It's about disconnecting from all of that and creating space, creating mental space in your life and your practice and your day. So that your, your own intuition can start speaking to you. Not someone else's point of view or perspective, your own guidance system can start to communicate with you. It wants to communicate with you and tell you and show you and guide you to what's next, but often we're so tapped in and connected to so many other things. It doesn't have the ability to communicate with us. So I think it's starting to trust yourself that that guidance is within and that guidance is available here. You already have it. It's here and it's about creating space to connect with it and trusting that. And then with that, that trust piece, it's trusting that whatever you have right now is actually enough. It's not needing to consume copious amounts of information to solve any discomfort in your life. It's knowing actually what I already have. Is enough. So it's a trusting in what you already have, and it's also a trusting in your own inner guidance system. one of the first things, if someone would come to, comes to me and see, it's like, I don't know what I want to do next, or like, I'm in a transition and you know, I'm waiting for this next thing to show up often. They are so busy that there isn't any space for that, that clarity is like, Hey, I'd love to let you know. I'd love to give you some guidance. I'd love to show you. But it's like, there's just, there's no physical space as in, there's like something happening every minute of the day. They're racing from one thing to the next, or if it's not bad, or it can be a combination of there's no mental space. So we might create the physical space, but mentally. We're overthinking where we're in so again, there isn't any space for that guidance to come in. So I think it's a, it's a combination of both what you've seen. It's like creating the physical space so that like that time before bed, I think it's such a great idea. And then making sure when we create the physical space that we're bringing the mental space with it too. So that we're giving ourselves the opportunity to kind of clear the mind out. So that we can be like just an open channel and that space
