"Bringing doubt to your doubt" is a method I use for challenging negative thoughts.

Rather than accepting every thought as a truth, it's important to learn to question our doubts, and go and look for evidence in our lives as to why it's possible for us to have / achieve the things we desire.

This episode will teach you a simple process to do this & help you overcome those doubtful thoughts and anchor into greater self belief and confidence.

this is a little mini episode, but something that I felt called to create and actually was inspired by something that I was experiencing. And I often find not always, but often find inspiration through. Stuff that I'm experiencing in my life and want to share with you in the hopes that it will help and serve you as well. So it's this concept of bringing and introducing doubt to doubt. So maybe you're sitting with a desire to create something in your life. Maybe it's a dream or goal or a desire that you have. There's something new you're looking to create in your work. Maybe you're wanting to step out and walk a different path or there's just some kind of desire or goal that you're looking to achieve. And it's interesting when we think about this. Dream, goal, or desire. Initially, we're filled with motivation and excitement about it. And what I find typically happens not long after that is that motivation and that excitement tends to get replaced with the voice of doubt. So we start to hear those voices, those thoughts coming into our head, is this really possible? Or this isn't possible, or how am I going to do this? I've never done it before. Or, who do you think you are? Whatever it might be. And. What's really important to know is that you don't have to accept everything that your mind tells you. It's this life changing truth. We just hear these thoughts in our mind and we just accept them as a truth because they're there. But it takes intention, it takes consciousness, it takes mental discipline, I think, to decide. I'm not actually going to believe everything that my mind tells me. I'm not going to see this doubt, these stories in my head as truth. And this is where this like practice of bringing doubt to doubt can be really helpful. Actually go and look for evidence as to why. Those doubts are not actually true. So going and looking in your life as to why you are capable, why you are the person to do this, why this is possible for you, why this outcome is available for you. Go and search for evidence in your life. Look at your past. Look at the ways that things have worked out for you, the ways that opportunities have come to you, doors have opened, the way you have stepped out and done things outside of your comfort zone. You were faced with things that felt really uncertain, but you did it anyway. You were faced with things that felt really challenging and hard, and like a massive stretch for you, but you did it anyway. These things demonstrate to you How capable you are and how possible it is for you to do this next thing that you're wanting to do. The doubt has a really hard time sticking around when we have this tangible evidence that shows This is possible. I can do this. So go and look for all of the ways in which things have worked out for you in the past. Go and look for all of the ways in which you've done things, where there's been successful outcomes, where you've faced uncertainty, but things have just come together for you in the end. It's really powerful to bring doubt to doubt and to just not take these thoughts as gospel, to not just hear these thoughts of doubt and then believe them and go okay. I guess that means it isn't possible. I guess I can't do this. And that's what happens with so many of us when we're not practicing this like mental discipline of taking those thoughts and processing them, doing something with them, challenging them. We will accept them as truth and it will hold us back. It will hold us back from doing the things that we're destined to do. The things that we, that are meant for us, the things that would bring us a lot of joy and contentment and fulfillment in our life, those thoughts are the things that hold us back from that. But the great thing is because they're your thoughts, you can also do something about them. You also have the ability to be able to change them and to think in different ways. This is like a concept that I think we don't learn in school. We often don't learn growing up, but it's so fundamental. It's so key to understand that you have the ability to choose your thoughts. For better or worse, you always have the ability to choose how you think. And if you are experiencing doubt in your mind, You have the ability to change those thoughts because you've chosen doubt. You can also choose to think in a way that is supportive, that is encouraging, that is going to help you step out and do more of what you want to do. So bring doubt to doubt. Don't take it as gospel, don't believe it as a truth, go and look for that evidence in your life that demonstrates how capable, how strong how successful, just how good enough you are and watch how much that makes it easier for you to step into what it is that you want and to really believe and know that it's possible for you.
